I sit at my desk using a low quality Staples branded number two pencil and I can’t help but think back to my days in school when I had a terrific graphite laden tool in my arsenal of creation. I am writing about the best pencil ever. The USA bonded Faber Castell Eberhard Velvet number two pencil with the distinctive blue racing stripe and the nice firm eraser.
I never realized I was such a pencil snob until now. This Staples number two HB series pencils is an insult to creativity. The build quality alone is shocking, the eraser has some type of waxy coating and begins to tear after the first use. The color is a bit unnerving, it isn’t yellow but rather some hideous tone of burnt orange. It is an abomination most likely sent from another dimension to weaken us so the first wave of attackers can subdue us easier.
I begin the revolution today, I will keep these graphite instruments of demoralization close at hand so I may impale the eyes of our would be attackers when they arrive in much the same way that the Joker made his pencil disappear in the film “The Dark Knight”. I declare here and now that today marks my independence of crappy alien pencils, I will only use ink as I do my part to keep our way of life free from the interdimensional tyranny that will surely be upon us one day.
Behold in all of its glory the USA Bonded Faber Castell Eberhard Velvet number two pencil with the distinctive blue racing stripe and the nice firm eraser.
